Cole and Jason have a Talk

xander smile wet laugh
Grotto

Cole has arrived.
<OOC> Jason: Yo. You want to set, or shall I?
<OOC> Cole: Could you?
<OOC> Jason nods. "Sure!"
To (Jason, Cole), Alessa pages: Can I flywall, out of curiousity? ^^
You paged (Alessa, Cole) with 'I don't mind.'.

In the shelter of the trees of the Grotto, on one of the rocks out in the middle of the pond, Jason balances on the slippery surface. His leather jacket is discarded in a pile on the shore. His hands move in quick circles, the knife in his hand held with the blade down by his wrist. He fends off invisible blade strikes, parrying and counterattacking with fists to the throat, kneestrikes to the groin. It's new moon kata. The spray from the falls is soaking his red t-shirt and making his black hair hang thickly against his temples.

Alessa has arrived.

Into this scene comes the Righ of the Fianna, his steps slow and unhurried as he parts the verge of the undergrowth on the edge of the Grotto. Cole doesn't make a noise to attract attention, cocking his head curiously when he sees his tribemate at sport. Instead, he moves to within a few yards from the edge of the pool and simply watches.

Jason is keeping low, and up close Cole can see just how precarious a perch that rock is. Still, he hops from one foot to the other, slashing at neck level with a cry, facing away from the Right. And then he whirls around suddenly for a spinning back kick and an elbow jab to his foe's head. Which brings him face to face with the Righ. The Ragabash grins, relaxing his stance and slipping his knife into its sheath behind his back. "Hey, Cole-rhya! Haven't seen you around in a while, how're things?"

<OOC> Cole: Quick note: Cole's been around every day for at least a little bit, even if player isn't. They may have just kept missing each other for convenience's sake. :) Cole doesn't have anywhere to be really, so no reason to be away.
<OOC> Jason: Yeah, that tends to happen a lot.

Cole brings one hand into the other once or twice, a soft clap of admiration. "Nice moves there, Jason. Keeping up in practice?" The Galliard stretches his arms over his head. "Things are alright. I'm working on cleaning up Tinker's Rest for the tribe."

Jason grins widely at the applause, sweeping his arms out and balancing on one foot as he gives the Galliard an elegant curtsey that makes it look like he's about to topple off the rock at any time. Yet, he stays upright. "Ah hah, so that's where you've been hiding. I'll make sure to swing by there if I want to talk to you again." Silently, he gestures for Cole to move aside, getting his feet under him for the leap back to shore. "You got a moment? Got a few things to talk to you about."

Cole shuffles aside, making a gesture for Jason tomake the jump. "Got more than a moment for a brother." He brushes some dust from his shoulders, frowning. "The shop's pretty much cleaned out at this point. Aside from the basement. Still like a rec room." This brings a grin to the Galliard.

Jason leaps from a standstill, landing with a small burst of gravel on the otherside. He perks upright, arms up like a gymnast that just made his jump. Ta da! What an attention whore. When the judges don't pop up their scores, though, he relaxes and heads over to his jacket. "Awesome! Just a sec..." Crouching down, he digs around in the pockets for a bit before coming up with a folded piece of paper. "Here we go!" Unfolding it, (looks like it's from a notebook) he starts to read off it. "Okay, first...there's a new family of Fianna kin in town. McBrayer. I've talked to 'em all, and they've got a son named Galen who's just starting to learn the ins and outs of Garou stuff. I gave em all directions to Tinker's Rest, Fitzgerald's Music, Dark Wine and Roses, the Odeon, the Tenement... Just addresses, no other hints. And the first names of the Fianna tribe around here, so they're not just wandering around aimlessly. Also my phone number, and I can give you theirs if you want em."

Cole rolls his eyes fondly as Jason showboats, quickly showing his interest as Jason comes up with that bit of paper. He grins at the news. "Wonderful, sounds like you handled it pretty well. We're absolutely sure they're on the up and up? Doesn't look like any hidden kinfolk surprises? If not, by all means, give them my number. It'll be good to have more blood in the area."

Jason grins and gives a thumbs up to the Righ. "I don't think so. Haven't taken them before any Sniffers, but I didn't get any weird vibes from any of them. Was wondering if it'd be alright for me to drag him to the Grotto on a low moon for a bit of Fianna education? Oh, and speaking of territory permissions..." Jason runs his finger down the list and grins. "Marina's out and about, and wanting to meet the rest of the family. I know she's not Family but...I'd like to bring her to the Grotto as well to meet the cubs, also on a lower moon. She's a little nervous to be meeting you as well." He flicks his gaze up to Cole again, giving the Righ a quirked eyebrow. Curious what his reaction will be, perhaps.

<OOC> Jason crams as much info in as possible.
<OOC> Cole: Good shoehorning. :D

Cole nods. "Well, we'll see if we can't get them a quick sniff before we get too far. Just to be cautious, of course. But no, I woudln't mind it at all. Which reminds me of something I want to do. I've heard tell that a kinfolk band might be making their way in our direction on tour soon. I was thinking it'd be good to have a tribal party in the Rest, can help teach the cubs about how we deal with our fragile cousins, you know? Include the McBrayers in, and we've got the makings of a real fucking bash, huh?" He pauses a moment at the news about Marina. His brows furrow, and his voice is colored by some concern now. "How....how is she?"

<OOC> Jason bows.

"Yeah, course. I'm sure there's a theurge or Fury or metis or somebody who's around the city and wouldn't mind helping out." Jason looks up at the mention of a kinfolk band, and the news seems to bring a certain amount of joy to his face. "Awesome! Hell yeah, we need some parties around here. Morose bunch, here at the Walk." At the mention of Marina, Jason folds up his paper and crosses his arms. He's still smiling though. "She's good, actually. Real good. Almost back to her normal weight, still got no memory of times before. But I'm hoping that meeting familiar faces will help her with that. She's..." Jason pauses, looking to Cole now, brows furrowing. "...she's freaked out that she used to be free love. Not sure why, but I'm rolling with it, letting her feel things out. She's ah...also lost most of her knowlede that she used to keep her shop. So she's seriously thinking shutting down. We'd both like to get a small cabin near the bawn so I don't have to run to the city and back if I want to spend my nights with her." Here he smiles sheepishly, his ears pinking a little at that admission.

Cole's mouth curls up on one side, and he shakes his head. "I wonder what it was that made her change so much that how she used to be is such a shock to her now. I'd like to see her again, and see if maybe exposing her to places like this might just help. Hell, it isn't unheard of for Stag to be an aspect of healing and health. We can hope, yeah?" He rubs his hand over the back of his neck, sighing. "But yeah, when Luna's small again, bring her by."

Jason shrugs at Cole's question, just as stumped. "She traveled the world a lot. Also, when she woke up she still thought her husband was still alive, so could be she's still reeling from that. I'm just trying to help her work through it. Yeah, I really do want to bring her by. So that's cool then?" And Jason grins hopefully before going back to his paper. "Hmmm...oh yeah. You talked to Charlene yet? The cubs aren't terribly happy with the amount of Galliard training they've been getting, and I'd honestly like to get them focusing more on it than they have been, since they're mastering most everything else. Also, Chulash and Yarrow-rhya have offered to provide the cubs with Umbra and spirit training when Wintersbite is busy."

<OOC> Jason: And that's more that the players of the cubs have been wanting more Galliard training, as that's something that can't really be offscreened all that easily.

Cole still looks vaguely unhappy about Marina's situation, but he puts it aside for the moment as Jason continues. "As far as Charlene goes, I'm not comfortable with it. I've heard from several different Garou and I've met her a few times myself. She seems...to mean well, but she does make mistakes. So provisionally....they can take lessons with her. But I want you to keep an eye out. Ask them about the lessons now and then, yeah? I don't mind others helping, but I don't want them taking the wrong lessons from a non-Fianna."

<OOC> Cole: Mmm. It's kind of sucky, though. In that many parts of the Galliard's job don't translate to training well. Got a couple of those once a week lessons planned, but for telling stories and news? Hard to teach!
<OOC> Jason: It is! But having a player around who's mostly active can certainly help with that. They'll be able to give tasks, give advice, provide examples... Alessa, you want to weigh in on this?
<OOC> Cole: The once-a-weeks being the special lessons that'd be more interesting than saying 'No, talk like this'. :) That stuff will happen, but I'm thinking combat and the spirits, etc, will make for more riveting play.
<OOC> Alessa would, actually. "I'm not expecting a whole bunch of galliard training RP, but part of the reason I apped a cub is so that I can personally learn the world of GarouMUSH. If I had wanted to do everything off scene, I would have apped a Cliath."
<OOC> Alessa: And Cole, usually our schedules conflict so much, and the short amount of time we DO get to RP when I manage to catch you leaves me feeling rather...unfulfilled.
<OOC> Cole: Yeah our schedules especially clash. I can get to Jacey more often, but you and I don't mesh well. Ugh. :(

"We all make mistakes, Cole-rhya," Jason notes flatly, inspecting his paper, though he looks up with a smile at the Righ and nods firmly. "I'll keep an eye on them, don't worry. I think I've convinced the cubs by now that I'm always watching, somewhere. And no worries, I'm taking a personal interest in making sure they learn the Fianna take of every lesson. And...here's something, I'm not clear on, actually." He folds up the paper again and fixes Cole with a watchful gaze. "What exactly are you expecting of the cubs? In terms of lifestyle and everything? I'll admit, it surprised me when you gave carte blanche Edgewood permissions back when."

<OOC> Jason: And you've definitely got other people vying for your attention, Cole. While your attempts are admirable, this is one of those times that IC should probably bow to OOC.
<OOC> Alessa: I also don't want my cubhood to last more than 4 months, tops, due to a bit of a distaste for the restrictions that I was unaware of when I applied for this character. And I don't really feel like I've learned as much as I'd like to learn in the month and a half that I've been here.
<OOC> Cole: What restrictions are those?
<OOC> Cole: Also - what do you feel you haven't learned? It might help if you wrote up a mail outlining what you're expecting to learn that you haven't. Tha way we can target things rather than hoping we cover something by coincidence.
<OOC> Jason: Unable to leave the bawn, no romantic stuff allowed? Or at least, it's discouraged. Those are my guesses.
<OOC> Alessa nods at Jason.
<OOC> Alessa: Also, the new kin (Galen) was made with Alessandra in mind, and the fact that I still can't RP with him aside from the backstory I just finished with him is mildly frustrating.
Cole smiles, looking more relieved as Jason explains. "That would be much appreciated, brother, thank you. As for what I expect? Well, beyond perfection," And here he rolls hie eyes, clearly joking, "I just want them to make Stag and myself proud. I'd love it if they stayed close to the wild places, but we're all homid born here, there's only so much that's realistically going ot happen, you know?"
<OOC> Cole: Well, the foundations for allowing some RP to go on has just been laid to night, so that might help allay some of those frustrations.
<OOC> Jason: Honestly, Cole, I think these solutions aren't the best ones.
<OOC> Alessa: I...have to agree with Jason.
<OOC> Jason: I know you want to do the cub training yourself, and i would love it if you were around often enough to do so. But once a week won't be a very strong impact on the cubs. GIving Charlene 'provisional permission' is a good step in the right direction, though.

Jason smirks. "Perfection in terms of behavior, or pitch? They are song-moons, after all." He snorts a little at Cole's remark, glancing to the Grotto. "I'd personally like to see them roughing it as much as possible. I'm not gonna be asking them to eat nothing but meat...but learning to enjoy the wilderness for its own sake is important for a Fianna, I think. You know Alessandra managed to sneak a bottle of coconut oil onto the bawn?"

<OOC> Cole: Yeah, that's why I decided to do it, against the inclination Cole would have ICly.
<OOC> Jason nods.
<OOC> Jason: Oh, I might have missed it. Did Cole respond to Jason's request to have Chulash and Yarrow teach the cubs?
<OOC> Cole: But as far as re: Galen goes. While I have sympathy, the character can and will keep with the interaction they get from being introduced and provisionally allowed in the Grotto. It's also not unheard for cubs to interact with kinfolk regularly, as Jason can point out.
<OOC> Cole: Nope, that got lost in everything else.
<OOC> Jason: Usually via Edgewood, yeah. Let's hope that opens up again soon.
<OOC> Cole: Christ, yeah, that kind of sucks. Despite being a nice shot of 'The WYRM IS HERE!'
<OOC> Jason: Yeah. You know that was just an ONS that Mekoides threw together? It wasn't even supposed to be aplot.
<OOC> Alessa ugh.
<OOC> Jason: I'm usually fine with the paranoia that would come from that kind of ONS, but Jacinta's choice to block off Edgewood before she can get her ass in gear and get it fixed is really fucking with peoples' RP.
<OOC> Cole: Yeah.
<OOC> Alessa agrees.
<OOC> Jason: Yeah, you heard right. Jacinta claimed that plot for BT. No one else is allowed to get this situation dealt with.
<OOC> Jason: If they didn't have Chulash, nothing would be getting done, I swear.
<OOC> Alessa twitches.
<OOC> Alessa: Yeah, the Edgewood thing is starting to get REALLY frustrating.
<OOC> Cole: Let's say that Cole okayed the Chulash/Yarrow thing. He likes them well enough.
<OOC> Jason nods. "Cool."
<OOC> Jason: I forget, Cole has okayed Chandini teaching the cubs combat?
<OOC> Cole: Yup!
<OOC> Cole: Took care of that with her the other day, matter of fact.
<OOC> Jason: Awesome!
<OOC> Jason: Okay, your pose.

"Both, for preference," Cole returns, regarding perfection. Then he blinks, his expression showing displeasure. "Against the express wishes of the Warder for manufactured items, by chance?"

"Against all our knowledge, far as I'm concerned. I took it away from her, but I'm inclined to let it slide. She's..." Jason grins here, scratching at the back of his head. "Pampered, I guess. Really soft. She was having a nervous breakdown before I was able to get her her ballet shoes. I'm trying to work it out of her, slowly. Actually, she's doing a really good job of making a blanket out of the skins of animals she's killed for food. I'm thinking of taking her to one of the Pure Ones and getting lessons on how to do it properly, if that's her cup of tea."
"Lessons, yes. Letting it slide, no." Cole's expression is stormy. "In all honesty, Jason, do you think a cub in training should be allowed to have luxuries like ballet shoes? I'm all for trying to keep them stable and happy, but if she's as pampered as defying a rule, something needs to be done. I'm going to have to talk to her about some things."

Jason shrugs, turning a palm upright. Do what thoust wilt. "I think she's had a very different life with very different expectations, personally. She's willing to learn...but she's convinced these things are necessities. If you can figure out how to get her into the right mindset without her going into a nervous breakdown, go for it. Right now, I'm just slowly taking things away from her, letting her adjust until she's back to normal and away from 'pampered'." Jason skims the list again, frowning. "Hmmm...let's see."

Cole nods, running a hand back through his hair. "Yeah, I'm not going to go gestapo unless she shows disrespect or anything, but remembering back when I was a cub....she has it pretty damned sweet by comparison. And I had it pretty damned sweet compared to Megan-rhya or Trevor's cubhood."

Jason nods. "That's my thought, yeah. And really, we told the cubs no Weaver-devices on the bawn. Edgewood was still around, so we never bothered to tell them no shampoo in the streams. This may be partially our oversight." Jason eyes one of the items on his list and frowns. He clears his throat, looking a bit uncomfortable for a moment. "Cole-rhya, I want to claim Beta of the Fianna."

"About time," Cole chimes in, raising a brow. "I was wondering how long you might be willing to serve underneath Morgan. Gaia love her, and she's a good Garou, but she is still a metis, and Stag feels how he feels." His shoulders roll as he loosens them. "I'm minded to grand this, but one thing needs to be made absolutely clear, Jason. Once you've got this, you're really, truly representing the tribe. If you have any doubts of whether you're up to the job, step back, no harm no foul."

Jason's expression is an odd mix of surprise and befuddlement at Cole's first words. He's...not really sure how to take that. As he goes on, though, Jason's grin spreads slowly more and more. "Oh. Oh...Oh! Oh, no doubt, Cole-rhya!" The excitement is certainly ramping up in his voice and he stands up straight, soon grinning ear to ear. "Hell, I've been playing Beta for a few months now. I think I'm up for the job."

Cole nods, seemingly satisfied as he watches the new moon's expression for a few moments. Then he smiles in return. "Then my first command to the new beta is to go behind the waterfall and grab the bottle of Touched mead I've got chilling in the water there, yeah? Seems like drinking news, doesn't it?"

"Hah! Good idea. Though...you may want to hold off on the drinking for just a moment. I've got another request. Or rather...something I think I need to insist on." And Jason tucks that piece of paper into his backpocket, hooking his fingers in his pockets and standing up straight, puffing out his chest. "I don't want to have to wait a week or two until I can track you down to ask you to meet with a potential teacher, have you meet her, and so on and so forth. Or anything else that might crop up with the teachings. I don't want our cubs to stagnate again like Gabriel did. So, I'm asking for full control over the cubs' training schedules. I'll still run everything by you, of course. Whenever I manage to run into you, that is." And his gaze raises to meet Cole's, his jaw setting. Seems he's serious about this.

Cole's grin withers slowly, a seriousness taking over his mien. "Well, unfortunately, that is where we start to differ on opinions. You can't say you have full control, and then run it by someone when you have the time. I'm afraid I'm going to have to deny that, Jason. I am Righ, and as long as I am, I will have final say over their education." He eyes the Ragabash for a long moment, a stare daring his companion to question his dominance. "It's my right, and sensible in the bargain."

Jason cocks his head, still keeping Cole's eye and letting his own narrow just slightly. "I disagree. I think it's fair to say that I can make decisions about what the cubs can and can't be taught, until someone can get a hold of you and get your decision. Think of it...like a vice president, with a president who's very hard to get a hold of." And he slowly grins, though it doesn't reach his eyes.

Cole's lip curls back, showing white teeth in a gesture that's not quite human. "You can disagree as much as you like, Jason, but you cannot dictate terms to me and expect much traction. The cubs have a fair amount of teachers already. Three potential spirit teachers, two combat, and now two Galliard teachings. Anything further will have to be run by me before it starts. They are not Fianna, these other teachers, and this isn't open for discussion."

"That's going to slow any necessary changes to their training regimine down to a crawl. Buuuuut you're the Righ, Righ." And so Jason drops his gaze finally, rubbing at his nose and turning a tight look towards the waterfall. "Still want to get that mead?"

<OOC> Jason: regimen? I can spell, I swear.

"Cellphone, my friend. We both have one, I assume." Once the stare is dropped, Cole starts to back down from the edge of rising rage. "Get the mead, I still think we can celebrate. If you didn't stand up to me on some things, what good is being beta, huh?"

Jason smiles and raises his eyes again, tapping at his temple. "I think I'd be putting all new moons to shame as well if I didn't give you a dissenting opinion now and then. Just need to remember to do it usually on lower moons. How's your auspice moon treating you, Cole-rhya?" And Jason pads towards the waterfall, wading slowly in and crouching to search for that bottle.

<OOC> Alessa: Can I speak up again?
<OOC> Jason: Sure, go ahead.
<OOC> Alessa: Cell phones don't do much good when it's usually impossible to catch you more than once a week.
<OOC> Alessa: Sorry, but I'm not too thrilled about the fact that part of the restrictions on the RP I CAN get stems from the fact that you're not online very often, Cole. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, here, but I don't have any other characters. This is my only one, and I'm not going to be able to app for another one until around the time I'd like Alessa to rite. I'm tired of restrictions.
<OOC> Alessa: And I am humbly requesting that you LIFT those restrictions so I can maximize the RP I'm getting.
<OOC> Alessa: And so that the other cubs can enjoy more opportunities for character development, as well.
<OOC> Jason: I'm kinda with Alessa on this one. Only reason Jason's not challenging Cole for Righ right now so he can get more of a say in cub training is he believes Cole makes a better figurehead for the Fianna than he does.
<OOC> Alessa: I know you want to consider IC continuity, but when it effects others, and their opportunities for RP? I'm sorry, but it breeds frustration.
<OOC> Cole: And respectfully to you both, I'm going to have to say that sometimes OOC bows to IC as well. The fact that you're very active does you credit, but cubs are, by nature, restricted. It's the nature of the beast. I'm being as unrestrictive as IC genuinely allows.
<OOC> Alessa: If you're not going to bend on this, then at LEAST make an effort to be more active. It isn't fair to others, Cole, to have to work around your schedule.
<OOC> Cole: I'm genuinely sorry you're becoming frustrated. But you're not actually that restricted, I think you'll find. With tonight's additions in mind.
<OOC> Cole: It's equally unfair to expect someone to change the nature of their RL to accomodate someone who has much more time to devote to the game.
<OOC> Cole: As I've said before, there's no restrictions on who you can RP with. Intensive teaching is the only thing that's out.
<OOC> Alessa: I'll wait and see how things fare with recent developments.
<OOC> Cole: I think that might work best.
<OOC> Cole: Anyhow, posing away!

"New moon through and through," Cole says, and it has the tone of a compliment to it. "Sadly, not a lot of stories I've been in yet. Unless you consider the epic ballad of fighting dustbunnies a tale worth telling. Since leaving Wildfire...." He shrugs, falling quiet. "I need to start thinking about a pack again soon."

"My uncle lost his life to a dire dustbunny. True story," Jason rises from the falls, pulling out the bottle of mead from there. He drops it in the silt near the shore and steps out far enough to shift to lupus and give his coat a good shake. That done, there's a pop of displaced air as he snaps back to homid and picks up the bottle again, uncorking it as he brings it back to the Righ. "Oh yeah. You've heard that Jacinta's gonna be drafting any unpacked Garou into something or other regarding those Wyrm things that attacked Edgewood. In that sense, Javen and I are thinking of starting a pack together. Just looking for more people."

"Bullshitter," Cole returns with a smirk. Once Jason returns, he scowls. "Yeah, I'd heard. I'm all for helping the Sept, but letting that...that bitch create packs out of people she admittedly hates?" He shakes his head heavily, as if trying to dislodge a stinging pest. "Oh? What sort of pack?"

"No really!" Jason opens the bottle and holds it out to the Righ for first drink. "Huge ass thing came down off a shelf and he inhaled it. Started choking. Fell off the ladder, cracked his head open right on the coffee table. BAM!" The Ragabash claps his hands together. "Killed him on the spot. Shame too, one of our best Ahrouns. Took out a Wyrmnest all on his own after a night of heavy drinking. Didn't remember a lick of it afterwards, when he woke up with the Dancer alpha's head under his pillow." And there's that coyoteish grin again. Still, he sighs at the mention of Jacinta and he shakes his head. "Would that I think I could win, I'd challenge her, just to get her out of the position of Warder. She's fucking Caesar, the power's all gone to her head." At the question of which pack, the Ragabash looks briefly thoughtful before shrugging. "Haven't decided yet. Not a War pack, she's trying to distance herself from the other Get, and I don't think I'd fit. I've always wanted to pack under Coyote though..." And a lightbulb goes on. "Oh! Another thing... I think Javen would be a fantastic teacher for more Galliard training. I know from experience she knows how to tell a decent story at moot, unlike that thick-tongued pussy Kavi."

<OOC> Jason: Oh shit, tome!
<OOC> Cole: Hah!
<OOC> Jason: Though half of it is Jason bullshitting.
<OOC> Jason: Kevin told Jason a similar story when he was showing off Obscure the Truth.

Cole is left laughing by Jason's story, shaking his head in admiration. "A pity to have lost such a might full moon to the depredations fo dust and dirt.. A shame, really. A crying shame." He makes a dismissive gesture (while scowling, natch), when it comes to talk to Jacinta. "Someone has to oust her sooner or later. Hopefully before she marches us whites all off a cliff." He rubs his chin thoughfully though. "There's someone I hadn't considered. I like her, and she seems to know her shit well enough. If you see her before I do next, will you do me the favor of asking if she'd be willing?"

"I heard about your Fostern challenge to Yi-rhya, Cole-rhya," Jason notes, an eyebrow raised to the Righ, "I think we may need something along those lines to get a fair fight out of her. You game?" At Cole's apparent willingness to include Javen, Jason blinks in plain surprise. "Wuh? Hey, sure. I assume this means it's all 'okay' if she says yes?"

"Ah, that challenge was something else. I still owe Coyote in a big way for that one." Cole remenisces internally for a moment before brining himself back. "It depends on what you had in mind. Let me know when you have some ideas, and run them past me. As for Javen, yes. Give them some more breadth, and what with the way the Fenrir have been recently, it cannot hurt to have one of them the tribe can tolerate."

Jason hmmms, taking the bottle back from Cole after the Righ has had his drink, and tapping the mouth against his chin before taking a sip. He grimaces before coming up with a big smile, clearing his throat. "Ahhhh, clears out the sinuses, that." And it's offered back. "It's true. She's the best Get our Sept has, in my opinion. She's been itching to have a cub to train that isn't Oskar."

Cole takes another swig from the bottle, using the lip to partially hide the scowl that springs up at the mention of the cub. "Fucking menace," he drawls with a liquor-roughened voice.

"Damn skippy," Jason growls right back. And he sighs, rubbing his face. "Actually, Seline isn't much better, either. You know she and Jacey got in an argument? It came to fists. And, in Seline's case, claws."

"I heard. Over something as stupid as a misplaced giggle," Cole shuts his eyes. "But no one ever credited the Fenrir with overly much patience or common sense, huh? He passes the bottle back towards his tribemate.

"The argument wasn't what pissed me off. Cubs getting in fights are bound to happen, especially when a Get is involved. What bothers me more..." And Jason takes the bottle back, stealing another swig before continuing. "Is that they don't think it's important to tell their cubs "No claws" before sending em out to meet others? There are some oversights that are understandable, but that's a rule that's top priority, y'know?"

"Unless you don't care about dead cubs," mutters Cole. His pale features are suffused with color from the drinking. "But. Fenrir. Thinking is not hugely important sometimes."

"Which they don't," Jason remarks flatly, and a little coldly, passing the bottle back to Cole, "At least, not of the other tribes. Heh, I've been wondering for a while if it would be possible to run the lot of them off a cliff, chasing after some kind of Glory or another."

Cole takes a long swig of the potent liquor, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "More than possible, I bet. Send a fomor off a cliff with a sign saying 'Glory' on the back, and you'd lose have the goddamned tribe! Hah!" The Galliard seems amused by the very notion.

Jason cackles out loud at that, head tilting back. The lithely-built Ragabash rocks back a little, catching himself with a bit of tipsiness before grinning back at the Righ. "And Javen will still be around to sing their praises about how they died in a Glorious battle against gravity for the sake of the Sept."

<OOC> Cole: This sound like a good, Fianna-y place to wrap up? Aside from heaping abuse on the Fenrir (I approve!), I'm kind of tapped out.
<OOC> Jason: I think so! I can't think of anything else that needs to happen...save for maybe Jason challenging for Alpha, but that can happen later.
<OOC> Jason: Have a good one!
<OOC> Cole: Thanks, you too! :)
<OOC> Cole goes to idle for a bit in the apartment place, might be around in a little bit. Dinner!
Cole goes home.
Cole has left.
